Lambeau Field. The site of a reception I was invited to this eve. Sort of a shake down, but a good group to be a part of. Ed Donatell was the featured speaker. Interesting comment about leadership--lead people to places without prooof-standing up and being a constant source of energy. For a football coach on a losing team he was actually a good speaker. R. Harris was perhaps even more compelling. 20 year sentence for delivery of crack cocaine and paroled early (after 8 years) and a great speaker with a great story. Good stuff in a great venue. This place feels right. I have a sense of place developing.
Folks are folks, I guess, and when you strip us down to our primal side, we all have similar tendencies to the same sort of contrived crap i catch myself righting. Righteous bull.
Stuart Smalley.
Reading some great Shinto reaincarnation--ancestor worship section of Spring Snow. Need to remember to thank my lovely wife for getting me to read this. I will share it after I flip my potatoes.
"The man who retains a proper guard over his speech, his mind, and his body with regard to all living things--the man who bridles his lust and his anger--shall achieve fullfillment. Total liberation shall be his. He who sins in body shall be a tree or grass in the next life he who sins in speech shall be abird or beast, and he who sins in soul shall be reborn at the lowest level of caste."
Short-circuted rational inquiry.
All is well
